MOT provides a full range of piston styles in both rubber and urethane. Our pistons are made in the USA using high quality materials and unique chemistry for all applications. We carry sizes from 4” to 8”.

CHROME-IRON LINERS

BONDED (BR) RUBBER PISTON

The one-piece nitrile bonded piston is designed and manufactured to handle the tough environment encountered during land and offshore drilling. The oil resistant rubber provides optimal performance in oil water based muds.

Features:

High tensile strength.
Performs best in water-based mud.
Excellent chemical and abrasion resistance.
Maximum operating temperatures of up to 250°F.
Extended service life.
Available from 3” to 7-1/2”.

Piston_REPLACEABLE

REPLACEABLE (RR) RUBBER PISTON (DUPLEX & TRIPLEX)

MOT’s replaceable rubber pistons fully interchange with API standard piston hubs (SERIES A, B, K & L). Our piston rubbers are manufactured for a high grade of coated fabric and 80 Durometer XNBR rubber which provides a high degree of abrasion and oil resistance insuring longer life in most pumping applications.

Piston LONG LIFE

LONG LIFE (LL) URETHANE BONDED

MOT's Long Life Urethane Bonded Pistons are built to deliver superior performance in today’s Oil based and Synthetic drilling muds. Longer piston life equates to longer Liner life greatly reducing the cost associated with running your mud pumps and the time involved in replacing worn out fluid end expendables. Our urethane bonded pistons are manufactured from proprietary materials that expands against the Liner to create a tight seal as fluid pressure increases, reducing friction, thus reducing Liner wear.

Maximum operating temperature of 230°F.
Designed to meet pressures of up to 5,000 psi.

HIGH TEMP (HT) URETHANE BONDED

Our HT Pistons are designed to perform in the harshest of drilling conditions and under all applications and mud types. MOT's “HT” pistons are manufactured from high performance urethane chemistry able to withstand operating temperatures up to 350°F and pressures of up to 7,500 psi.
